The annual After Prom is a tradition at my high school. Students load up buses and head to the nearest campus rec center to participate in several high-energy relay and team events — at 3 or so in the morning.
If you know anything about me, you know I’m not a huge fan of team sports or exercise in general… naturally, I needed to find a way out of such things taking place at 3 in the morning after a long night of dancing. What better way than to volunteer to document the night via video?
Just as the teams loaded up on buses, my filming partner Madison and I loaded our backpacks with camera equipment. For the next 8 hours, Madison and I would film every occurrence of the evening.
Following the night, I edited the video to match the high-energy night, backed with pop songs and quick cuts.
On the release day, the whole school practically shut down to enjoy the 40 minute end-product… the perfect showtime for a high school class period.
I’m immensely proud of my only “long-form” video. It’s certainly a “Hey, look what I did…” project.

The project used a combination of DSLR, iPhone, and GoPro cameras.
Adobe Premiere Pro was used to edit the video.

I served as director and editor of the project. I also manned one of the cameras with the help of my partner Madison. I edited the project in full.
